About Us

OlimG Stays was born from the vision of its founder, Mkhuseli Godana, who recognised the need for affordable, quality accommodation for young adults and the middle class. After struggling to find reasonably priced places to unwind, he transformed his family home into a warm bed and breakfast that felt like a home away from home.

With his family’s support, Mkhuseli began renovating the property, starting with converting an outside room into a self-catering unit. OlimG Stays welcomed its first guest in December 2022, marking the beginning of its journey.

As demand grew, another outside room was converted into a short-term rental once the tenant’s lease ended. Later, the kitchen area was transformed into two single rooms, expanding guest options while maintaining an intimate atmosphere.

The property evolved into a dual-purpose space, combining guest accommodation with the family home.

In September 2025, the Godana family revisited the original vision of creating a holistic guest experience. This led to the launch of OlimG Café in November 2025, offering a space to dine, connect, and unwind.

As the brand grew, it expanded into OlimG Lifestyle, introducing events, beauty products and services for its community of vibrant, style-conscious guests and young professionals.
